Assistant to the Program Director - job description
If you were always interested to see how the festivals’ program is created, now you have the chance to find it out! Sziget Cultural Management Ltd. is looking for a motivated Assistant to the Program Director to help us organize the festivals. As an Assistant to the Program Director, we expect you to be fluent in English and Hungarian (both written and verbal, a third language is an advantage) and interested in performing arts (theatre, dance, circus, street theatre, etc.) and music. You should have excellent communication skills and attention to small details. You should be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and work in a team effectively. Technical related interest is an advantage.
Full-time job, starting in mid-March

Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to the Program Director
- Organize professional trips of the Program Director and venue managers
- Schedule meetings and communicate with our partners (embassies, cultural institutes, etc.)
- Provide administrative background to the program department
- Communicate with performers and management companies, respond to queries in a timely manner
- Ensure the realization of performances from negotiation through contracting, booking flights and accommodation till payment
- Communicate with venue managers regarding the schedule and plans
- Communicate with technical department concerning riders and technical needs
Requirements:
- Fluent English and Hungarian (both written and verbal, a third language is an advantage)
- Interest in performing arts and music
- Excellent writing skills and good grammar
- Organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize and work on multiple projects
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Eye for details and the ability to work accurately
- Excellent communication skills
- Great multitasking skills
- Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
